The singer Miguel Poveda opened the 16. edition of the Bienal Flamenco de Sevilla last night. Without doubt one of the most important and expected show of this festival is the one of the guitar player Paco de Lucia, who will close the fetical next Saturday October 9. We have an appointment at the Maestranza Theater, at 20h30. The Andalusian main city is right now the flamenco main city, with a programming with 56 shows. In front of the Real Maestranza Bullfighing Place, Poveda offered an extraordinary interpretation, accompanied by a lot of musicians.

Several generations of the copla will be on the Quintero Theater stage from September 16. to October 10. for a tribute to the flamenco copla, a huge event (like never seen before) coinciding with the Flamenco Bienal.During this copla series, called "Andalucia en la copla: three artists generations at the Quintero Theater", recognized artists and new figures will interpret the most beautiful songs of the copla history. The fact that these series coincide with the Flamenco Bienal converts this event in something atypical, bringing together these two musical styles. La Bienal de Flamenco se inaugura con la actuación de Poveda en La Plaza de toros de la Maestranza

La Plaza de Toros de la Maestranza acogerá la actuación inaugural de la Bienal de Flamenco de Sevilla de la mano del cantaor Miguel Poveda con un cambio de escenario motivado por la gran demanda de público que superaba el aforo de la Plaza de San Francisco, donde estaba prevista la inauguración.

El coso taurino se incorpora a los otros siete escenarios que repartidos por la ciudad acogerán a partir del 15 de septiembre la XVI Bienal de Flamenco con un espectáculo inaugural, "Flamenco de viva voz", que según ha informado Miguel Poveda servirá para afianzar "el vínculo taurino de Sevilla con el flamenco".El cambio de escenario que garantiza mayores condiciones de control de acceso y permite un desarrollo técnico a la altura del espectáculo, ha afirmado el director de la Bienal, Domingo González, permitirá poner a la venta cerca de doce mil entradas con precios que oscilan entre los 6 y los 35 euros.

Durante su encuentro con la prensa en la Real Maestranza, Poveda ha confesado su respeto por este proyecto sobre el que ha asegurado que se "fue enamorando" hasta comprometerse a ofrecer el primer concierto de la bienal en este espacio, lo que asegura es "el sueño de cualquier artista del flamenco".
