The next 29 of october at 21pm the show of Israel Galvan marks the beginning of 23 days of contemporary dance. He will seize theatres, streets and places of the city and other unusual places. The artillery factory, declared good of Cultural interest, is without any doubt, one of this "unsual places"; for the first time in its large history,it will turn into a show place.Israel Galvan "solo", without music and without any kind of artifice, in the magnitude of the rooms of theartillery factory, is in charge to open this new edition of the "Dance Month", that will be dedicated this year to the dance and its relationship with technology. "Solo" of Israel Galvan, in which the dancer uses only his body, and silences to build his speech, is, teh starting point of this reflexion about the exceptional capacity of thecontemporary dance to incorporate technologies. A route that leads us from this "Solo" to proposals that sirve ofsensors, computers, several softwares and on-line interaction for these creative processes; machines are at the serviceof the creation and the dance is at the service of the machines to create pieces in live, in a play of inter relationshipand improvision with many possibilities.

Estrella Morente showes her charm from the Sacromonte around the Maestranza

La cantaora Estrella Morente fue ovacionada la noche del domingo en la Bienal de Flamenco de Sevilla durante el estreno absoluto de 'Estrella de Granada'
Estrella Morente
The singer Estrella Morente has been applauded on Sunday night during the Flamenco Bienal of Seville for the premiere of the show "Estrella de Granada", accompanied by the Cuadro Gitano of the Sacromonte. The daughter of Enrique Morente, who conceived the show, got together on stage of the Maestranza Theater a team one hundred per cent of Granada. The showing of an audio-visual that recovers the period between the Second Republic and the Civil War, is a way to recall an historical event, the Contest of Cante Jondo in 1922. Recalling Antonio Chacón, Manolo de Huelva, Manuel Torres, Montoya and Pastora Pavón La Niña de los Peines, she began the show in a sensual way. She was wearing an elegant dress created by Victor y Lucchino (like the whole wardrobe) and she offered "Qué quieres de mi", her famous zambra.

Several generations of the copla will be on the Quintero Theater stage from September 16. to October 10. for a tribute to the flamenco copla, a huge event (like never seen before) coinciding with the Flamenco Bienal.During this copla series, called "Andalucia en la copla: three artists generations at the Quintero Theater", recognized artists and new figures will interpret the most beautiful songs of the copla history. The fact that these series coincide with the Flamenco Bienal converts this event in something atypical, bringing together these two musical styles. Jesus Quintero counts with the participation of the most representative figures of the copla but also with the young artists, starting in this artistical kind.
