Flamenco shoes are specialised footwear designed for flamenco dancing, featuring a leather sole, nails on the toe and heel to produce the characteristic zapateado sound, and a firm fit that allows the dancer to strike the floor with precision. They differ from regular shoes in their reinforced construction, built to withstand the repeated impact of footwork, and their wide, solid heel (typically 5 to 7 cm for women).
There are three levels depending on the dancer's experience. Beginner shoes (from €35) use synthetic materials with basic nails, ideal for first classes. Semi-professional shoes (from €70) combine leather and synthetic with higher-quality nails. Professional shoes (from €120) are fully leather with Osuna-type nails and double-stitched soles, such as those by Begoña Cervera. For men, cowboy boots (botas camperas) and Cuban-heel shoes are the standard options.
At FlamencoExport we offer 147 flamenco shoes for women and men: beginner, semi-professional and professional models by Begoña Cervera, Valverde del Camino cowboy boots, and ballroom dance shoes. We also have an outlet section with discounted footwear.
