Pack of 5 volumes of flamenco dance History by Jose Luis Navarro Garcia. Flamenco dance is the mixed race son of a multicultural union. The enriched fruit of three people especially talented for music and dance: “Andalusia”. The people from Andalusia have participated with more “salt”, more freshness, grace, elegance and mischief; the gypsies have strong character and the sense of interpretation; the blacks, with dances that, since the XV century, came from Caribbean islands, the sensuality of the way they sway the hips, the forwardness of the feints and its binary rhythms. All brought the best of their culture and of their dance, and contributed to the birth of the “creature”. Without the fraternal participation of the gypsies and andalusians, today it will exist gypsy’s dances and andalusian dances but none of them would have the beauty of our flamenco. An open and free dialogue without any prejudice between andalusian and “Calé” in which participated black people who arrived in our costs. This dialogue benefited prejudice t all the interlocutors and the dance itself. Thanks to it, we fused all styles and we stored up the steps. It became every time richer and the dance patrimony of each generation handed down to the other one. After, around the middle of the XIX century, all the richness stored up started to crystallize. And something new and different came: flamenco. Since then, this dance didn’t stop to grow up until reaching universal fame and prestige.
