The Professional Castanets made of Veined Granadillo by Consol Grau are crafted from Beech wood that is dyed to achieve a look similar to Granadillo. The logging of this type of wood is fully controlled and certified by organizations dedicated to this purpose, thus we can assure you that you are purchasing an item that cares for the environment. Please note that since they are made of natural wood, you may find that the castanets are not completely homogeneous and the grain pattern may differ in each one.
The Granadillo castanets by Consol Grau are born from our desire to adapt to the needs of professionals. They were designed and manufactured under the guidance of the great concert artist Consol Grau for classical music. Their sound is sharp, but also, thanks to these indications, many nuances can be easily obtained.
The peak of the top of the resonance box can be removed if desired. This modification does not affect the sound, but rather the aesthetics of the castanet. Additionally, you can customize them by selecting the color of the cords and the case that accompanies the castanets. Regarding the case, it is worth noting that it is handmade with synthetic leather, lambskin, and metal closures.
This model is only made in normal case.
IMPORTANT: If you are interested in learning how to use this instrument, you can read on our blog the method for playing the castanets.
