These mauve and white graine fiberglass castanets for professional are handmade by Castañuelas del Sur.
Castañuelas del Sur is a company based in Seville and founded by the master craftsmen Juan and José Vela Hernández, sons of Manuel Vela « Filigrana ».
These castanets are made of paper layers coated in a specific resin, a material that gives them a very powerful sound. These castanets are recommended for outdoor performances and for teachers who want to be heard above their students while practising.
Very Important: The colour of the case may NOT be the same as in the picture.
Sizes:
Fiberglass nº 5 (9.3 cm x 7 cm)
All castanets made by Castañuelas del Sur are engraved according to their use. These are the three categories:
Beginners: HERNANDEZ
Professional use: CASTAÑUELAS DEL SUR
Top-of-the-line models “Capricho”: JUAN VELA SEVILLA.
