Lole y Manuel

Lole and Manuel are Manuel Molina Jimenez, born in Ceuta in 1948 and Dolores Montoya Rodriguez born in Trianera (Sevilla) in 1954. Son of "El Encajero" and she was the daughter of "La Negra" and Juan Montoya.
In 1975 Manuel y Lole edit their first flamenco album entitled "Nuevo Dia" with the record company "Movieplayer". Their music was not a traditional flamenco music, it has a different rhythm, avant-garde and with bucolic lyrics.
On stage Lole was singing with a flamenco voice and her husband, Manuel, was playing the guitar. Adolescent, Lole shared stages with Camaron de la Isla and performed in tablaos like "Los Grayos" in Sevilla or "Las Brujas" in Madrid. The couple separated in 1993, they had a daughter called Alba. Now Lole and Manuel work for the records company Virgin.
