Pepe Habichuela. Nuevos Medios Colección
Discontinued
A compilation of themes by guitarist Pepe Habichuela. This record is part of “Nuevos Medios de Colección”, the title of a collection of twenty records with which the record label that promoted New Flamenco celebrates its twentieth anniversary. The tocaor (flamenco guitar player) José Carmona, of the Habichuela family, is an extravagant guitarist. In relation to José Carmona's participation on the record 'A Francisco' (a tribute to the painter and flamencologist, or flamenco expert, Francisco Moreno Galván), José Menese said that he asked him to accompany him because 'I like the way he sounds'.
-
José Antonio Carmona Carmona (Granada, 1944) is the son and father of gypsy guitarists: the glorious lineage of the Habichuelas. His art has something universal, and he is in great demand by young musicians of different cultures. That is because, 'the sound of his guitar is that of a tree crying'.
