Raices y Alas. Carmen Linares
The new recording work of Carmen Linares has the title of “Raíces y alas” (Salobre 2008).
In this work, the singer interprets the poems of Juan Ramón Jiménez with the guitar compositions by the guitarist Juan Carlos Romero. It is the eighth studio disc of the singer and the first one of her recording hallmark. In this project they have had the enthusiastic collaboration of Juan Ramón Jiménez Foundation and the Students Residence and it approaches us to the poet of Moguer when the 50th anniversary of his death has arrived.
“Raíces y Alas” was live released on the stage of the Theatre Lope de Vega in the last biennial of Seville, getting a great success among the critics and the audience. So, the specialised press gave its musical director Juan Carlos Romero the prize of the Best Composition in the biennial of Seville of 2008.
