These white grained wooden castanets with V-shaped ears for professional use are handmade by Castañuelas del Sur.
Castañuelas del Sur is a company based in Sevilla and founded by the master craftsmen Juan and José Vela Hernández, sons of Manuel Vela « Filigrana ».
These castanets are made of wood layers coated in resin. Their sound is subtle and harmonic.
Very Important: The colour of the case may NOT be the same as in the picture.
Sizes:
Grained wood nº 5 (9,3 cm x 7 cm).
Grained wood nº 7 (8,7 cm x 6,6 cm)
All castanets made by Castañuelas del Sur are engraved according to their use.There are three categories:
Beginners: HERNANDEZ
Professional use: CASTAÑUELAS DEL SUR
Top-of-the-range Models “Capricho”: JUAN VELA SEVILLA
