The space destined to the celebration of the Feria de Abril is situated between Los remedios and Tablada ,and they are divided in 3 sectors: El Real de la Feria , la Calle del Infierno and the car park. The fairgrounds (without any publicity or advertisement)is regulated by a strict normative which keeps the visual charming of the little village which rises up every year in Los Remedios.

The Real de la Feria is called like this  because of the real (25 cents old spanish coin)that the driver charged to the people in order to drive them to the fair.

In the past Real de la feria was called to all the fair area. After, Real de la feria was the main promenade where the horses cross over and where the stands are placed.

The fair space has an area of 275.000 m2 distributed in 25 blocks and 15 streets.

Its paved streets ans its sidewalks are decorated with thousands of lanterns which will illuminate the fair nights and are distributed in the following way: The Real’s road are crossed by thousand of little lamps and traditional lighting baroques ornaments all hold up by wood posts painted in white and ornamented with vegetables garlands.

During the day the people usually ride the horses whereas the night is for going party.

How to go into a stand (or Spanish caseta) in the Feria de Abril

1.Concept

The stands aren’t pubs or establishments. The stand (Caseta) is a little house that belongs to a family or a public organization that’s why is not usually open to the general public.

2.Who have a own caseta

Many people from Sevilla has an own caseta that it is an authentic home for friends and relatives. Here the people are invited to drink and eat the traditional and typical andalusian gastronomy while enjoying the flamenco dancing and music.

3.Who don’t have own caseta

If you are in Sevilla and you don’t know yet any people from Sevilla you can also enjoying the party and its environment.

There is an information desk placed near the entrante where you can ask for an map of the fair, in this map you can find the stands for general public. This kind of stand normally belongs to public organizations like political parties, trade unions and city districts. Is true that this stands hasn’t got the same ambience than a familiar stand, but anyway you’ll find the sevillanas dancing, the flamenco suits, the clappings and cheap food and drinking.

4.We recommend not to gate-crash into the stands

Many stands do not allow the entrance without invitation so avoid to not to gate-crash and make the most of the fair taking a walk for taking a look to the ambience. Is probably that the Andalusian people flaunt their hospitality and inviting you to take some drinks in their stands
