“Carmen” turns on flamenca
Carmen, la cigarière crée par Mérimée, patrimoine de la danse espagnole, fut réellement crée par Antonio Gades qui, plus d'un quart de siècle, créa une version transformée en exemple et référant et que Carlos Saura l'a porté au cinéma. Carmen a été l'obsession de beaucoup de nos choréographes; parmis eux se trouve Sara Lezana, qui a partagé écran avec Gades dans "Los Tarantos", de Rovira Beleta. |
“Carmen” of Sara Lezana and the Flamenco Ballet of Madrid came back to the capital yesterday. This one is its fifth consecutive season on the billboard of Madrid, with more than 1400 shows. The Madrid Community recognize the last year the vast carrier of Sara Lezana, Artistic director of the team, created there were five years ago and acted in several countries. Two young dancers, Erika Macias and Vera Leon will share the protagonist role in this version of Sara Lezana- she plays the death- which, with a classical flamenco follows the story until nowadays through the opera of Bizet.
