La Tana -

Victoria Santiago Borja, La Tana (b. Seville, 1976). Cantaora

La Tana, daughter of cantaora Herminia Borja, began her career singing for dance companies like Compañía Joaquín Cortés and Farruquito's company. Paco de Lucía heard her sing in a bar in Seville, and signed her up. The Seville-born cantaora steals the limelight on several tracks from the 2004 album ‘Cositas buenas’, including the title track, por bulerías. The legendary guitarist from Algeciras took her with him on the world tour of his latest album, as part of a group that featured other cantaores such as Duquende and Montse Cortés. In March 2005, her first solo album ‘Tú ven a mí’ was released, an album produced by Paco de Lucía himself.
