Farruquito

Farruquito (Juan Manual Fernández) has become a phenomenon in Spain and is regarded as one of the most faithful representatives of flamenco puro. From a very early age Farruquito has carried on the traditions of his legendary grandfather, the Gypsy dancer El Farruco.

At the age of 12 he danced in Carlos Saura’s acclaimed film Flamenco and in the television documentary Bodas de Gloria. As a soloist, and now as head of the family, he has performed in the most important flamenco festivals in Spain, including the Festival de Jerez. Farruquito brings to the stage a handsome, elegant technique and fiery, youthful footwork.
