During three days, we  will see the performances of "El Lebrijano" and Carmen and Matilde Rubio Spanish
Ballet of Murcia company.

The Flamenco Summit of Caja Mediterráneo (CAM) opens with the performance of the Guitar player Vicente Amigo, in a stage that changes location this year and will be celebrated in the Plaza del Cardenal Belluga, with the image of the cathedral and the shows of the Carmen and Matilde Rubio Spanish Ballet of Murcia Company  and the "cantaor" Juan Peña "El Lebrijano".

These are the artists that will take part in the XVII edition of this festival, an historic event of the "Caja" and that year after year gets out of control, said the territorial president of CAM, Angel Martínez. The location where it's normally celebrated, The Romea theater, is closed for repairs, and the installations of the institution are getting smaller.

During three days, from tomorrow till thursday the 3rd, the Plaza del Cardenal Belluga, with a capacity of 2.000 people and a stage of more than 20 metres wide, will be the witness of the performances of the "Cumbre". The programm of performances, that this year will give the award "Patriarca Flamenco", given by the CAM in collaboration with the Flamenca Association of the University of Murcia, to the guitar player Vicente Amigo, will start tomorrow with his performance. Vicente Amigo will present his last album, "Paseo de Gracia", nominated for the Grammys, a work that synthetisizes all the emotional values, technical and creative of this young "maestro" and with the collaboration of artists like Alejandro Sanz, Niña Pastori, Enqique Morente and Estrella Morente. The day after, CAM, will pay a tribute to the Company of Dance of Carmen and Matilde Rubio for their 25th anniversary, founded in 1985 by Carmen Rubio and directed  at present by this professor of the Dance Conservatory of Murcia, with her sister Matilde , also teacher in this center.
Pioneer in tours around China, he will present his show "Poker Flamenco", with the choreographie of José Antonio, director of the National Ballet, in which a corps de ballet of 12 artists will play "palos" like the "Brujería", "tangos", "la Guarija",
"la Farruca"or "el Zapateado", amongst others. The last performance will be the one of Juan Paña, "El Lebrijano", "one of the classics of the "cante flamenco", member of the gipsy and "cantaora"family of Perrate de Utrera, and pioneer of the flamenco fusion.
Accompanied by the Tanger orchestra, composed by flamenco and arabic musicians,he  will offer the show "Casablanca", that will deepen in that fusion of the music arabic-andalousian that gave him so much success. The performances will start at 21.30, and will be open to the public. The CAM will put 2.000 chairs.
