The most pure flamenco comes thanks to José Mercé to the Roman Theatre of Merdia

El flamenco más puro llega de la mano de José Mercé al Teatro Romano de Mérida.
José Mercé

The Roman Theatre of Merida will welcome on Sunday 5th of September the concert of Jose Merce in the Merida festival planning, “Mediterráneo interior”. Musical meetings in the theatre which wants to combine culture with the historic and archaeological patrimony.

In the festival, Jose Merce will go up to the stage of the Roman theatre of Merida to present his new work, Ruido. Merce plans to reinforce the presentation in Extremadure of his new disc with a review of his records in an “authentic enclave”, according to a promoter of the event, in the presentation of the concert in Merida.

Mediterráneo Interior

“Mediterráneo Interior” The title of the festival evokes the words that in 1989 wrote the poet Rafael Alberti in an article published in the newspaper “El Pais”, according to De la Torre.

El título del festival evoca las palabras que en el año 1989 escribió el poeta Rafael Alberti en un artículo.

Alberti defined Merida as the “Mediterráneo de interior” after the festival of theatre of this year paid tribute to him with the first stars of the stage; so from there, we wanted to recover this definition and adapt it to this festival.

The tickets will be sold from Thursday 4th of august, with prices between 15 and 35 euros, divided in the same way that the Theatre festival of Merida Organization does. You can get them in the Caja Madrid cashiers, Caja Badajoz offices, www.entradas.com or the tickets office of the Roman theatre.
