The counsellor of Culture and Tourism, Pedro Alberto Cruz, presented today the Flamenco International I Congress about the Mineros Sing, which will be celebrated in the municipality of La Union from June 2 to June 4. It is about the first activity of the Mines Sing Foundation on the occasion of the celebration of the Festival golden wedding, this year.
The aim of this event is that The Union “turns already not only into a place of celebration of Flamenco, but of reflection on", Cruz said and added that with the congress, in which the principal specialists should take part, “we are looking for creating a strong context for the festival which would go on during all the year”.
Regarding the “Mineros” Sings, which are the biggest aim of the congress, the holder of Culture and Tourism emphasized the singularity that " differentiates them regarding the other forms of flamenco, the fact is they have been conceived all along the history at the same time with the development of the mines, and it’s the reason why nowadays, it’s of the most exceptional sing inside flamenco".
That’s why The Region of Murcia “campaigns Andalusia and Extremadure for the inclusion of Flamenco in the Unesco Humanity immaterial Culture patrimony list” reminded.
