Traditional large Spanish Peineta. Very classy and attractive design. Worn for weddings, special occasions and Spanish festivities.
The comb is the principal complement of the mantilla, which use estilo in the last century in order to raise her in order that this way this one was favoring more to the face.
Ornamental Comb, made of turtle shell imitation best quality materials, with engravings to enhance and further highlight the design. 100% hand made.

Measurements: 27 cm length (18 without the comb) x 24.5 cm. width.

The comb is made of cellulose acetate.
Acetate allows flexibility and deformation without breaking, as it can happen to plastic sometimes.
Its composition gives to the comb a special shine and imitates very well mother-of-pearl as carey.
The spaces on the top of the comb are hand made with a tool called 'buril', this process is called 'burilado'.
